Wholesome Games

Mini Rebrand and Storefront User Interface

Wholesome Games is an existing small business that specializes in curating and promoting uplifting, compassionate, cozy games. They produce a monthly newsletter that informs recipients of popular games and new releases as well as work with various small developers to post trailers on their socials to promote their games. Wholesome Games, run by 4 individuals, has attracted a large following and hosts Wholesome Direct, which is a popular, annual Indie Game Showcase that is also promoted by Steam, a video game distribution software. Wholesome Games, while it has a large following, does not have consistent branding aside from its profile picture on its social media, and I believe has a lot of potential for expansion in its niche field. For this project, I created a mini-branding guide including a logo, a typeface, 3 colors, and icons for them to use on their website and social media to create a consistent image. Indie is a unique and highly successful genre in the gaming community, and I believe Wholesome Games could develop its own software to compete with services/software such as Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net, and others. In addition to the mini-branding kit, I also created a video game digital distribution service and storefront UI, where players could purchase, download, and play the titles Wholesome Games recommends for the Indie-loving community.
